Awakening the Psoas and Increasing Hip Flexibility
Led by: Terri Atkinson
The psoas muscle is the longest muscle in the body and is responsible for standing upright and walking. A constricted or shortened psoas muscle can lead to back pain and abdominal irregularities.
This class will use gentle movements to soften and lengthen the psoas muscle to increase range of motion in the hip joint, followed by strength building poses that build stability around the hips and low back.
