In this class we use Ayurveda techniques to cleanse the physical, mental and emotional bodies through massage, gentle seated yoga poses, and breath work. Energy work will be incorporated throughout the class to relieve the subtle bodies of distractions and other debris. Terri will also include discussion of additional simple and effective ways to support the bodies natural detox processes and considerations for reducing exposure to toxins throughout our day. You will leave relaxed and ready for a good nights sleep.
We will build on our knowledge as these classes progress. We meet during the 36 hour Full Moon and New Moon windows to further aid the cleansing effects of these practices. Many of our meetings occur just after regularly scheduled Yoga classes (please check the schedule), which is a great way to ready the physical and subtle bodies for these techniques.
This work can be done sitting in a chair or on a yoga mat, provided. Do your best to avoid restrictive clothing and shoes, drink plenty of water and avoid heavy foods, alcohol and tobacco for at least 24 hours prior to class. You will receive the greatest benefit if you come with an empty stomach, having your last meal of the day around 3 or 4 o’clock.
Advanced registration is optional, but will guarantee that a yoga mat or chair is available for you.
